It's such a beautiful thing, but as a project, I wouldn't know where to begin. Surely, this is Wall Art at its best, but nothing more. Right?

Absolutely. This example was made immediately post-war, meaning the quality of the metals used was mediocre at best. Also, it needs a proprietary BB shell, which is probably unobtanium.

But, as C&V wall art it doesn't get much better than this, IMO.
