Where did you find a green star mask. I've been looking for one for years.

This morning's 10 mile, shake off the stiff legs, ride. Warm, muggy and quite breezy, it is supposed to drop 20 degrees tomorrow DOWN into the 60's for highs! :-O
1988 Bridgestone 550 Sport (those pedals have GOT to go, but I broke my pedal wrench trying to get the first one off...CURSE the mechanic who slacked on the grease!!!)

A leisurely ride to the pier and back. Had some tea, watched the seagulls, perfect saturday afternoon.

This was a lunch-time ride across a local college that's actually recognized as an arboretum. There's lots of paths that zig-zag through the trees, and college coeds mincing about.
Great spot to eat a sandwich before returning to the grind.

Drying out after a soaking rain ride to work last night: the Banjo Bros. Commuter bag kept my stuff bone dry

Today I sold :

And as partial payment I accepted this in trade :

If I had slept in and had my wife handle the transaction I would have thought the bike didnt sell and instead SHRUNK.
Also, later I may smoke some chicken on the Big Green Egg in the background... Mmm...

Something different
Years in planning, three months execution from start-to-finish, I came home from the Seattle Bike Expo this afternoon to my new yard.
Before:

During:

After:

And yes - I specced the height of the retaining wall so that I could take pics of my bikes in front of it

warning: non drive side pic. our beater '84 Stumpy set up for family fun with kid seat and wald front basket. My son and I rode for about 5 hours around Los Gatos, Campbell, and San Jose proper on Saturday. Lots of riding, lots of stopping at parks.

with a stop at a Carl's Jr (first time for both of us though I had a salad
)

He's only 2 years old (3 in July) but I'm starting to think about doing a short self supported tour with him soon. I think it's definitely doable with a trailer where he can sleep, though he's been known to sleep on the back on my xtracycle too.
so far he's good for 5-6 hours a day as long as we take stops here and there, which we'd be doing on tour anyway.
I think it's time for a weekend test run soon.

You gonna eat that?
A candid shot of me taken by BF member Yo Spiff on last night's pub crawl ride. The Raleigh in the foreground is my latest project. I turned a sport-tourer into a cruiser with big cruiser bars, a sprung Brooks B66 and a Sturmey-Archer 2-speed kick shift hub.
