Orange bulb field, in honour of Queen's day.

All rivers got to end somewhere. Here's a branch of the Rhine flowing into the North Sea, in the beautiful hazy dusk of yesterday. Man, that ride was awesome.

I got to go fishing with my dad this weekend. It was great. We brought home a dozen crappie, three largemouth, three fiddlers and a couple bluegill.

Then my dad showed the bee hive he recently built. He's getting a swarm next week. Very cool.

Do you get special EBay perks, seeing as you're an employee? Seems like a beautiful place to live and work.

Are the guys with the French mustaches the fiddlers? I've lived and fished in some different areas, and I've never seen a fish like that...

That's them, yeah. I'm not sure how widely the term is used. It just refers to small catfish. I think these were Channel catfish, specifically.

I heard people talking about them when I lived in Arkansas, but I only got to fish a few times on small streams and rivers. It could be a kind-of midwestern/southern term. Either way, I'm sure the eatin's fantastic!

Haha! They would be record fish, but they're crappie. The couple of bluegill we caught are in the bucket being smother by the others.

I went fishing once. It lasted 5 minutes. The only thing I, the city mouse, caught was my country mouse cousin. It took a while to get the hook out.

Start line of the Rwanda Ride from Cooks Corner in Orange County, CA. ~800 mountain bikers going either 25 or 50 miles. We did 25 and had fun. It was tempered a bit by the extreme number of riders on the trail and one aerial rescue. And helped by the cold beer and burgers at the end.

Post ride bike parking. An incredible array of bikes, including Tom Ritchey on a vintage tandem-unfortunately, no picture or video.

The purpose of the ride, to support these bikes and their use in Rwanda.

Sunday morning, heading to breakfast on the Landshark and the Eisentraut.

Breakfast at The Filling Station in Old Town Orange.

A great weekend of bikes and friends. Got see the latest CL finds which my loving girlfriend picked up while I was away. To be posted elsewhere....

i know, every pic doesn't have to have a bike in it. I have trouble with that.

Went to fix a flat at the 35mile mark, then realized that all I had with me was a spare tube that did not have a long enough valve and no patches. Had to call home for a rescue party.

Beautiful Jack Taylor
There a couple here in Olympia Bill Stevenson at the Bike stand just finished one powder coated it looks like spray and sanded between coats metallic green hand pinstripes and clear over the decals as soon as its finished, certainly the best looking paint on a Jack Tay;lor I have ever seen... I will get some pictures as soon as the build is done.

I changed the bar/levers/stem/shifter last night because i needed more reach. I also wasnt a huge fan of the porteurs and inverse levers.

Yeah I left when the rain got heavy, but there were some good finds. I would have liked to stay longer.
