Thanks! I can spend some time and money there for sure. There's a paramount track behind me in that pic, and here's got a Richard sachs in there too. Drool.

What camera and lens did you use? Has some fisheye bends in the image. Nice shots on your web site as well.
I'm still hoping to get a dSLR this year

After a morning 12 mile ride, the temps yesterday weren't reaching over 100F, so I took a drive to nearby Canyon Lake with my camera. It's one of several man-made lakes created by the Roosevelt Dam. They offer a watery oasis to the desert residents.

^ Love seeing all the AZ pics, particularly as it is very likely I'll be going to AZ for my summer vacation vice MN this year. And, yeah, I'm bringing a bike, so we have to get together for a ride or two...

I forget what these things are called, but it's a car that is also a boat. They can literally drive right into the water. We saw it on our ride today..

It was parked at the South Bay Yacht Club. My son and I rode to the bay and back..

he'll be three in July. I'm strongly considering going on a three day tour with him soon.

Sketching ideas at work:

I am really loving my newly built Peugeot. I do like the forward position on the bars, so I am toying around with the idea of using "drop bar" levers with hoods and wrapping the bars all the way to the clamp area, like a moustache bar setup.

And I have ordered a Wald basket for the rear rack to hold my backpack during the summer months. It will keep the bag off my back. I've been showing up at work with 2 large sweat bands across my shoulders and a big spot on my back lol. I need to get that pie plate off there too. I've been riding it everywhere this weekend, it really is a nice rider for sure.

Some pics from an overnighter last week as I was returning back into Dallas, TX and passing back through the downtown area.

I just used a small duffle bag in my rear basket & it worked fine for this trip.
I really enjoy exploring the downtown Dallas and Deep Ellum areas on my bike.

My wife won a tree a a community event. Took it home by bike, got some stares and a couple thumbs up.

Someone was giving away books on the way home. Got a good Ansel Adams photography book.
