Here's a pic of todays commute. I have band practice after work. A few of us are playing in a cover band at a breast cancer event in August. Our name is "The Cure for The Cure". We'll all be dressed up like Robert Smith.

Looking forward to that pic.

Speaking of music, I caught Dawes in Cincinnati a couple nights ago.

I don't think so. However, the front/rear wheels ARE inter-changable. You can read about it on Surly's site. Its a Moonlander or one of those super fat tire Surly MTB's.

It is a Surly Pugsley... the front and rear wheels are both spaced 135mm and are interchangeable.

The front wheel carries my 22 tooth SS cog and the rear has an 18 tooth freewheel.

9/9/12 - 12 hours of St. Pete. A timed race, 16 +/- mile course. Do as many laps as you can in 12 hours.

After 4 days of torrential rain, the bike gods turned up the sun. Pleasantly surprised after expecting to get drenched all day.

On the way there ~6 am

Parking lot..

Bikes!

More bikes!

From a long ride around Dallas area yesterday. I like tweaking some pics with FX pic apps for smartphones.

When it got hotter in the afternoon a nice ice cream cone cooled me off a bit.

I was on a 4 man team, I did 3 laps, each one was real close to an hour, with my best at 55 minutes or so. One teammate got lost for ~40 minutes, so we only got 11 laps in before time expired. It was a blast, results havent been posted yet, but I'm in again next year for sure.

edit - 47.x miles in Roughly 2.88 hours gives me an avg speed of 16.3 mph. I was pretty happy with that.

Lap 2 had an issue with my QR and my wheel was into my chainstay for about 4 miles. UGH
