What a coincidence, I learned how to make panniers the other day:

You have a lot of holes in your workbench.

Tuesday evenings are sailboat race noght on the lake, and when the weather is nice, as it was last night, it can get crowded.

Beware: Non-C&V content: 31 miles on the fixed gear last night, including a quarter mile long 12% grade. Boo. Yeah.
Not exactly sure about these sculptures... http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...e/IMG_2305.jpg Approaching Downtown at dusk http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...e/IMG_2333.jpg The Tower... hit by a tornado in 2000, this office building was redone as condos. http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...e/IMG_2338.jpg The downtown bike shop http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...e/IMG_2342.jpg Downtown as seen from the north along the river trail http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...e/IMG_2361.jpg The bright boxes in the foreground are the new community college campus (downtown in back) http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...e/IMG_2367.jpg |
Doohickie,
It looks like many of your rides are done near/after dusk. Is that because of the scorching Texas heat? I think it's funny, because your pictures make the Fort Worth area look quite nice, but I'm not sure I'd be able to bear the heat again. |
I always like Doohickies ride posts. They look like one of my favorite types of riding, rambling around your city with frequent stops to take in the scenery.

Grounded a pedal about .5 mile from home today. Bike jumped about a foot to the right, but my mad skillz saved the day :)
http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8009/7...05e154f7_b.jpg If I'd have hit the deck, it would've been the first time since 1999 - and the first time ever I'd have crashed on my left hand side. Still going... DD |
Every Day Pics
Ouch. I did the same thing a few days ago rushing to work. I took a big chuck out of my Time pedal. Not my first time with pedal strike so I too didn't crash.

I met up with these angry dudes on a pier in Santa Cruz, California, when I was out to San Jose for an interview last week.

As mentioned, we do our weekly pub crawl on Sunday. We meet at a dive bar called The Chat Room. This is what passes for ambiance there: http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-...13871109_n.jpg Almost 100 degrees today; the ride was a little smaller than usual, although still a good crowd, probably 30-40. http://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/...71132988_n.jpg Our first stop: http://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/...79548738_n.jpg Yes, folks, this is what a dive bar looks like. http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-...77697160_n.jpg A flat on the way. http://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/...31316837_n.jpg Traffic on the trail http://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/...00658062_n.jpg Stop #2 has a nice rooftop patio. It was their grand re-opening. We usually make two stops but this one was added in the middle of the ride. http://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/...01986848_n.jpg On to Stop #3 http://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/...21818354_n.jpg Their "patio" is a covered area between the old train station and the boarding area. Yes, it is still an active train station. http://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/...22170826_n.jpg |
YES- a rain barrel with a tap at the bottom- where did you get it? I want one that filters into the toilet if I open it up.
|
Huh?
|
Make sense now?

It would have made more sense with an appropriate quote the first time.

Very nice! That simply looks so natural and is very pleasing to the eye. I live a few miles from some waterfalls and need to take some pics.

I was just puzzled trying to figure out how the question was related to my post (which immediately preceded the question).
