I originally bought this bike to take to L'eroica 2011, but I did not get it ready in time. Since I have the quill pedals on, I have started using it as a commuter, going back and forth to work along PCH in Dana Point, 5 miles each way. I just can't get over how smooth of a ride it has.

Here it is at the south end of Doheney Beach, and again at the top of Palisades Drive overlooking the site of the first pic. Both were taken during today's ride home after ditching work early

Just another beutiful late summer day.

Lol, i admire the few dslrs i get my hands on from time to time, and want one, but then i want a mtb more. I do love my panasonic megazoom (lumix, with the leica lens). After some rough getting used to, I finally get it to make decent shots. The noise reduction software is all buggered, so I needed some practice to get around that. I have a lot of pics to show you guys from italy ad indonesia once i find a computer that can upload files.

Waffle! <3

We had a greyhound named Toasty. Relaxing is what they do best, that is for sure.

Saturday September 1st ride.

Went out before noon for a local ride. Stopped by a cemetery where a childhood friend is laid to rest. Fred and I and his sister used to play kickball after school.
This was a stone nearby.

Next, I rode over to the new school.
Took some pictures of my new (1 year old) (1974) 10 speed.
No hands, at speed.
Pretty chrome lugs.

No kids at the playground, today (Labor Day Weekend).

Great vacation home!

Riding is limited until tomorrow afternoon thanks to rodeo/fair activities. I'll apologize up front for the number of photos - but there was some fun C&V material for photos this morning. Like an idiot, though, I forgot to pull the camera out and take a photo of the C&V Univega Gran Tourismo touring bike (I even went back for a second look). Some day a decent C&V touring rig will enter my stable.

One of several vintage fire trucks:

Even Ronald McDonald has some C&V class - Ford Galaxie 500 convertible:

The Vintage RV trailer club was really cool - this is the latest in C&V type activities in our area and the club is growing by leaps and bounds.

And the ever present tractors:

Saw these at Cedar Point. The Pierce with the drive shaft (and bent fork) was the coolest of the bunch. The NSU was pretty sweet too.

A customer at work showed me this. Glass blade that's been knapped & hafted by a survivalist dude using stone age techniques. Awesome.
