I don't mind spiders too much, but that would freak me too. Black Widows especially. Too shiny and too black. Spooky.

I killed one in my garage the other week. They are pretty common around here too. I don't like killing them, but if I had to choose...

Are you old enough to do black socks with sneakers, or have I missed another hipster fashion cue?

Your Flyer looks sooo much better than mine.

As a straight man, I will totally make unintelligible grunts if I see you riding that here in town.

its funny. I was wearing white socks with those vans and everything was fine. Then my wife informed me I should really be wearing black socks, so I changed it up. Your comment was not the first today. I'm thinking of no longer taking my wife's advice. I'm 35 btw.

Thanks for the Carlton comments. The bike really is good looking and even fun to ride! I've done a century or two on it.

Today I replaced the camera we lost last weekend. Afterwards, I dug through our desk and pulled out our 9 year old Canon Powershot S410. Our S410 would not read a memory card, which is why it was replaced. It was a pretty expensive point and shoot camera in it's day and I never could bring myself to toss it. I took it apart today and found a bent pin where the memory card connects. A little time straightening and cleaning the pins and now I have an operating camera. I've got a bit of an attachment to the Canon, so I am really happy it's working again. It's missing some screws... got to replace those now.

Our old Canon S410, now working again. Shot with our new Sony WX150

I took this one at night with low indoor lighting and adjusted the white balance manually. I don't know much about taking photos.... but this seems pretty decent.

Jamboree day for soccer. The girls went 3-0 and had a lot of fun. I've coached boys in little league baseball for 8 years and 1 year in soccer. This is my first time coaching girls and it's definitely different. For example, I never would have had boys doing this between games.

Sacha's cuteness hasn't been displayed in awhile

Without further ado:

I'm really hoping she makes the transition from WA to AZ weather without going crazy from the heat!

Not sure what it was - Hutchinson Atoms with less than 500 miles on them. I suspect something penetrated the tire quickly.

And the winter prep work starts - thanks to sustained 30+ mph winds and gusts to 47. I started to ride and then thought better of it - don't really like going backward.
