I had an Anole as a kid. I'll bet he was pretty mad, having to live in Illinois . My cousins in Florida had them running around all over their gardens and gutters and patio. Mine kind of had one of those multiroom hamster houses, made out of PVC and clear plastic boxes. That way my sisters' cats or the dogs or anything else in the menagerie didn't eat him.

Jealous.
I was in Savannah Wednesday and it was 75. Back home today and its 42f with a 34f windchill. I haven't set foot outside except to grab more wood for the fire.

Ha! Those crazy taxidermy mashups remind me of a restaurant in Sarasota called Linger Lodge. The place is PACKED with abominations.

I like this picture a lot. It's pretty, and even a little creepy all at once. Being a city folk, my mind starts to wonder what might be in the darker areas of the photo. The light seems like the place you'd be in a hurry to get to.... like Ichabod Crane trying to get over the covered bridge. I can see why you have the bike that you do. How does it do in deep snow? I never seem to have any luck with mountain bikes in snow.

Anyway, great photo!

I shipped a nice bike to my daughter in San Francisco six months ago, and she finally took it outside on Sunday. I stole this picture she posted on her facebook page.

Glad my last pics could give you folks from the north something to look forward to
Soon enough the tables will turn and I will be in envy of those that can take an afternoon bike ride without the risk of heat stroke!

Picked up this antique hand blow glass light cover that I'm going to try and use for my front porch light. Notice the lean to the right. Hand made stuff is the best, it has character

Yes, I hung around a bit, hoping to catch the owner, but to no avail. When I checked later the bike was gone.
Oh well, at least someone has got himself a very cool beater.

Depends on the snow. I have tractored through 12-14 inches of powdery stuff relatively easily. 6-8 inches of wet stuff can be a real PIA.
