It was some freak weather that we might only see every 20-30 years... we could feel how cold the wind was on our Sunday ride and our temps dropped 16 degrees overnight to give us a little snow... it has warmed up a little and it feels like a Portland winter right now.

We are supposed to be back to seasonal norms by the weekend and my wee little great niece had a blast helping making this snowman.

Neither am I... there is a little snow in the forecast for today but after that things should start looking up and I plan to hit the beach on Saturday.

I will admit I like these crisp, damp mornings... it is like a Portland winter.

Snowtember continues in Calgary

The snow continues, power outages common, traffic snarled, trees are taking a beating from heavy wet snow and lots of branches are down. As @Sixty Fiver says, back to 18C and sunny on the weekend. Gotta love summer in the foothills.

Sheesh, all that snow! And that's while I'm still here in shirt sleeves in foggy london town, with a half marathon slated in 25-30 degree (centigrade) weather in Budapest next week.

Snowtember? Followed by Icetober?

We did a little carriage road ride today, demonstrating that our 32mm tires will indeed handle fine gravel:

Two nice rides.
Glad the bigger one did not decide to take a 'bite' of the smaller one.

they are quite nice, it turned some cruddy random parking lot into a wonderful backdrop for a bike pic.
