Firenze vs. Univega

Which bike is the better deal? You know, from a tiny picture and no description.

Univega - no question. Firenze were given away with TV purchases in the 80s because the were unsafe to sell. If I were closer, I'd jump on the Univega.

Does there need to be a FAQ or a sticky explaining that, to get a good deal, you have to be ready to strike, with cash in hand, without going through a cycle of posting to this forum and waiting for guidance? The guidance will be good, but generally too late to land a good deal on an active CL posting. It will certainly help with CL postings that come up in the future.
One good place to start, to be prepared in advance when checking out CL, is here: https://www.mytenspeeds.com/My_TenSpe...y_TenSpeeds_1/

A turd versus a decent bike, no contest. +1 Got to pounce on the good deals, they do not last long enough to post "Hey is this a good deal?" There are scoopers (like me) out there in every decent sized city lapping up anything decent that is under market. Although I consider myself a pretty fast responder, I routinely get scooped by others. Its very competitive out there.

$20???

I got the Univega. Unfortunately the rims are in rough shape (as well as the cables/saddle/chain/etc) but the frame seems pretty rust free. It'll be a project. I wasn't gonna wait a whole day or more. I posted this because I was meeting the guy later that day(yesterday). But yeah, I know I could've gotten scooped, but that's only due to driving time there.

That ten speeds site is extensive. Very cool.
