Pivo Competition stem

Picked this up for $5 today. Anyone else have one on their bike? It definitely feels lighter than the regular Pivo stems I have.

I guess the real question would be is it really a Pivo? It's definitely French in it's measurements.

I took my other Pivo off the Peugeot project and took some comparative photos. The Pivo weighs approximately 270 grams but is also a little longer (1 cm or so) than the Competition stem. The Competition weighs in at approximately 240 grams.

did you ever find out who makes the competition stems-I bought one because it was listed by another seller of one to be very light and I liked how it said competition on one side and made in france on the other. Mine does not have the open part at the back on the top.

I didn't and just assumed it was Pivo. It looks quite nice on my old Peugeot.

Hi-I just saw a melrimo -a ron kitching house brand (excuse my spelling) with competiton on one side that is identical to how ours are writtin and melrimo on the other instead of "made in france". according to my research ron kitching had parts made in france so the stem could be a pivo or I'm thinking a atax/phillipe because it's so light-my extra bars that are pivo are relatively heavy if that is any clue. ps-who came up with the 50 post minimum before pms? I guess someone with 51. What-were people pming with offers to buy people's old rusty bike parts?
