1986/87 Cinelli Pro Advantage
When i bought this bike originally it came without wheels, and some oddball parts on it like the stem, bars, seat, ect. With the help from some of the guys at my LBS and myself, we were able to source out some original cinelli parts and a pair of immaculate campy hoops laced to pink bullseye hubs.
I know its not the prettiest frame in the world, but when i bought it, it was to simply fix up and flip for a profit... However, after riding it for the first time, i dont think i could sell it. Shifts like a dream and coasts forever.
Pro Advantage frame is identical to the Supercorsa except it has less chrome (on the lugs, ect.)
Columbus SLX tubing, campy everything
Figured i'd share considering when i first bought this bike it was very hard to find any information on it.

The saddle is a cardiff, and although it hasnt been put through many miles, its wearing in nicely and is quite comfortable for being relatively new. I'm sure another hundred or so miles and it should be fully broken in to my butt.
As for where i found the bike, it was on ebay, however it was incorrectly categorized, and the picture included in the sale was for ****, which is why i got it for a good price. It was a gamble because i couldnt quite tell how the well the paint was holding up and any indications of rust, or even what components were on it, but upon receiving it, it was in better shape than expected, everything original campy with some minor nicks on the frame and very few rust spots (which have been almost completely taken care of) along the top of the chrome chain-stay.
The bike really wouldnt be what it is now if it wasnt for my friend Rick, who is a huge bike junkie, for having the wheelset and bars/stem laying around his house. After that is was just some simple adjustments, new cabling, bar tape, the saddle, and a little TLC to the frame.
Only thing i'd like to eventually change is the seatpost. Its a shimano 600, which is what it came with when i purchased it. But i'd really like to find a campy or cinelli seat post to replace it with so that theres nothing out of place on this bike.
Thanks for the positive comments guys! Its my first vintage bike, so it means a lot to me to get some praise for it
old fat guy - yeah, i found it not too long ago, Angel asked if i would send him some finished photos of the bike, and i did yesterday, so hopefully they will be up on the blogspot soon
