Let's have a little more civility.....eh?

Lots more sharp-edged stuff on this forum, recently.

We're all pretty cool folks, and I'm as guilty as the next guy of being a twit at times.
Many folks don't remember East Hill, but she was the lady who kept us decent.

Here's hoping we don't emulate some of the lack of tact and civility on the Road Forum.
At least 6-10 people have pretty much left the forum due to the atmosphere.
I valued them here, and hope they change their minds.

I'm pledging right now to respectfully and amiably disagree, or simply ignore the arguments, and cheerfully contribute.

E tu?

Kumbaya, my Lord, kumbayaaaaaaaaaaa . . . .

All kidding aside, I agree. I hereby declare that I shall do all in my power to keep my posts civil.

Except when someone is a jerk and deserves it. Or if it's bigbossman. But other than that, I'll be good.

Mostly.

I promise to try not be a jerk. And to shrug off anyone else being a jerk. How's that?

A good rule of thumb is don't type on a forum what you wouldn't say in person. I am the same on a forum as I am in person. Outspoken, but respectful. It's possible to speak your mind and voice your opinion without being a total jerk about it . I too have noticed more hostile posts here and in the general cycling forum than in the past. Why is everybody so grumpy?
