So do several of my bikes. I like DT shifters fine, I'm just realistic enough to know Ergos are far more convenient and easy to use.

It's weird, I'm an agnostic Jew...but I find bible stories fascinating and the early history of Christianity engrossing. I've taken courses on Jesus's early history, theology...etc. and have loved them! The Philosophers I most enjoy are theologians, even when I don't concur with the conclusions.

I can't believe what his asking price was on CL - WOW. It's amazing how high some folks ask, but what they're willing to come down to. |
I know, but sworn to secrecy.

I didn't know it had been posted to CL in the "roughly" Philly area. I'm really looking forward to trying this...it's a very interesting...bike, especially given the source. Long stays, rally rear d, calipers, 28c tires, and room for more, a very cool looking rear rack (brand escapes me) and the workmanship you'd expect from Sachs. I'd pretty much say this is a perfect (for me) sports tourer, and VERY Riv'ish. It needs a thorough cleaning, especially the wheels. |

^ ^ knowing what Lotek works with, he just might.
back on topic, grats on the second Sachs. Color scheme may not be my cup of tea, but it's what is under the paint that matters at the end of the day. Hope you enjoy it, though I can't imagine how you wouldn't. |
Thanks Cuda!!! I do like the red and white color variation he started using more than the older style, but these have a charm in their own right. Red is not my favorite bike color, but I'm a definite fan of Sachs...and having a Sachs tourer like this? COOL.
