Saw one yesterday on the Marin Century, very sweet, British in the style of a fastback Raleigh Pro, but much more refined. Owner said it was the last of 4 he had custom made back in the 70s. Wonder what happened to the other 3...

I remember Bates. Beautiful bikes but I last saw one 35 years ago. Four custom made bikes ! Did he "use up" the other three?
