more bike pr0n - 84 Masi 3V

Just finished this 84 Masi 3V. First year of 3V production. Built in Italy by Alberto Masi and Co. 83 Campy NR drivetrain (cause thats what I had on hand and I liked the look), SR brakes and seatpost, SL pedals, Record LF hubs with Mavic MA2 rims. This is the second bike I have used the new San Marco Concor Supercorsa seat and handlebar tape package on. I really like the package even if it is a bit pricey (I had some gift certs to RealCyclist so that helped).

This is an older CyclArt repaint. In very good condition but I am a bit worried as there are lots of bumps and general gloppage in the paint. Can be seen in photo of downtube decal. At first I thought they were rust bubbles but I don't think so since some are bumps, some lines, some just glops. And there is no sign of rust inside the tubes or anywhere else on the frame. So either CylArt did terrible prep or terrible paint on this one, or it really isn't a CyclArt job (despite the decal on the chainstay) or ???.

I've included a before pic this time. Crank, derailleurs and levers were about 4 years too late and brakes and hubs were Gran Sport. Bar tape was unattractive

You've got a nice looking build there.....just enough yellow without having too much yellow.

I agree with miamijim, a nice looking build and there is not too much yellow. I do like the Campy Nuovo Record derailleurs and chainrings mixed with the other Super Record components - I don't think the components have to 'strictly' adhere to the groupset photo's in the Campagnolo catalogues or be 'year perfect'.

I can't really see the imperfections in the paint - to me it looks beautiful. I wish it was in my 'stable'.
