Well, I got an Email from a guy looking to get rid of all his old bike stuff. I was a little hesitant but I thought what the heck? and I went to take a peek. Well a few peeks later (and a little lighter wallet) I am the proud new owner of lifetime of projects. Enjoy the pictures!

best little bits from the parts bin

old fuji tourer, pretty unremarkable

Takara grand touring... a little more interesting

Raleigh technium (im excited my first aluminum bike!)

Trek 400 series. campy bits, look at that stem!

Univega neuvo sport... very pink

oh look a death fork! viscount

girodana 600 tricolor

another trek, not sure of the model

and last but certainly not least, my second aluminum bike ever

Amazing finds. That is a lot of restoration work. Some hipster kid would love that Virus frame. Makes fatty cannondale alloy bikes look weak.

Loving the crank on the Viscount. Nice score.

the virus frame is something.

very trick. ride could result in a nightmare of stiffness and vibration ? who cares !

the technium is very, very nice. it's one of the rare models, i think (all alloy? as compared to alloy and cr-mo joints/stays)

Not bad! I like that Univega, I have a Super Speciale in a similar color.

Ha...stems like that are what I'm usually keeping an eye out for, 120 to 130 normally.

And that Virus is crazy looking.

And not a French bike among them!
Man, looks like you hit the mother lode. Some very nice scores there.
The Technium is a mixed Al/CroMo model. I have a later Pro Tri-lite in the same size. And yes, they are popular. You will have no problem unloading it.

The Virus made me chuckle. Crazy looking frame. It would be fun to cruise about on it just to see the reaction from others.

Quite the find there.

That Viscount has the Stronglight I want on it.

that Virus reminds me of butt ugly Tri bikes from around 2000

Actually the Virus is worse
I pretty much need to go gouge my eyes out after this.
now, if anyone asks me why I like vintage bikes I'll refer them to this.

nice score. Love the viscount with Stronglight.

Tell us more about that viscount. Did someone tap the bottom bracket shell? Or did they leave the pressed in bearings and mount the crank on the old spindle. Looks like it has some really nice pedals, those are the choice bits I think.

Very nice grab! Let me know if you're getting rid of the little trek frame, looks like it won't fit you if the other ones do

I will get many more pictures and more info on monday, I just snapped a few quick pictures on my way out the door. I am going to part with most or all of this stuff, but I will post that thread in the proper place once I get an idea of price. the frames came with an overwhelming amount of wheels that I didn't even bother to sort out. hopefully I can fit most of them to one of these bikes.

ok back from mini vacation. please send me a pm if you would like more information on anything specific and/ or pictures. I find it much easier to read my pm's and give out info than to try and follow this thread. cheers.
a little more information on the viscount:
it looks like someone must have really loved this bike. the pressed in bearings are long gone, although I have not had the chance to take out the bb (hmm anyone in phoenix have a stronglight crank puller?) it looks fairly modern, maybe mid 80's? its the kind that takes a many toothed bb socket wrench thingy. the only original components of the bike, in fact, are the fd and rd.
cranks are stronglight 93's
lyotard model 23 pedals
sr world radonneur bars
sunshine forged 50 stem (I have to say it looks quite nice I may keep it)
the bodies to the old bar end shifters are still in the bars and I am guessing someone later used the campy dt shifters as a cheap replacement.
even the viscount branded brakes are gone, replaced with weinmann 500's.
