Yup.( To both) I am near philly so I am a bit too far but Harrisburg CL yields some cool stuff. Did you snag that light purple Raleigh Competition an few months ago?

I don't do much with road bikes but I like the fillet brazed stuff. The Voyageur looked interesting, was my size, and the price was right.

Here are the seller's pics of my '85 Voyageur SP and my wife's '85 Voyageur (I really need to take more pics of my bikes). Both are sporting different saddles, pedals and racks now, but are essentially the same.

I took my '81 Voyageur 11.8 for a shake-down ride through the park after deciding on a new stem/bar/lever combo. The B132 Randonneur bars are super comfy and help get the hoods up without looking too out of place. Unlike my other Voyageurs, I think the headset is the only original part left.

Here's my '88 Voyageur in its latest incarnation. I believe I'm going to change the bars (again). I've went from drops to Albatross bars and now I think I'm going to install some Nitto riser bars. I'm finding I do mostly short, exerting, utility-based trips on this bike and those bars should suit that duty well. Having never used a riser bar is reason enough for me to switch. I like to try all sorts of stuff. I'm looking for some older Deore thumb shifters to pair with the Deore mechs.

The owner wanted to reconstitute the bike for weekend camping excursions. The paint was very rough, so he took it to Tom Teesadale for a respray. The owner figured he'd get every braze-on under the sun since Tom had it stripped down. It went from a "sport/touring" to a "touring/sport."

Oh, that drilled Jubilee is just drop-dead gorgeous! Nice build (as usual). How do you like the VO switchable dyno hub? Is it the game changer that some consider it to be?

Oh, man, that Berthoud bag is to die for. I just commissioned a fledgling bag maker to make me a shameless copy of that bag, but it's nowhere near as well made. This weekends D2R2 will put it to the test. I hope it holds up.

I can say that the switch works well and there is no discernible drag when it is switch off. This is different from any other dynamo hub I've experienced. It's also a pretty good looking hub. The hub is heavy, though; even for a dynamo.

It's actually the VO Campagne bag. I'm really happy with it; especially for the price. I purchased the matching Croissant bag last week and now keep all of my tools/grease rag/saddle cover and things like that in the saddle bag keeping the handlebar bag ready for parts to and from the bike shop and stops at the grocery or liquor store.

That ride sounds awesome! No doubt you'll be taking the 650b Shogun on that route.

Oh, my bad. I should have recognized the difference between the VO and GB bags . Yep, I'm riding the Shogun for D2R2, and here's the bag I had made for it. I tried to design it to be robust enough to use without a decaleur, but I'm afraid that the stiffener material I bought and cut for it might not be up to the task with the bag fully loaded. I'll be bringing extra zip ties and nylon straps with me just in case!

Hopefully my 1984 Wine Red (non SP) will be delivered today and I can get to work cleaning & lubing etc.

I am going to need some touch up paint for an 1 1/2 inch or so scrape on the TT where the chrome is showing through.

And on another note: Hurray! My 50th post. Now I can PM if needed.
