Help identifying this Klein

Hi guys. This is my first post so let me introduce myself: I just moved from Mexico to Upstate NY to go to grad school. I hope cycling is safer here than back home, I just got a bike to move around.

The bike is a Klein Attitude. I assume it's pre-Trek since the frame has a sticker that says it was made in Chehalis, WA. The bike certainly looks better than the grainy pic and it rides smoothly. Can you help my identify which year it is? http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=215598

They still made them in Chehalis for a few years before Trek shut that facility down. All the Bontrager stuff on that bike is Trek.

Yours appears to be a 2001.

How about a "drive" side photo? What components are on it?

Beautiful bike - I'd love an Attitude to increase my mtb collection. Buy a sturdy lock for grad school. Those are great bikes.

Hey, guys. Thanks for the info. I've just ridden it for a couple of miles and it rides great. I didn't expected it to be this good, but when I got home my roommie who is really into bikes told me how it's very good and all that -so good I don't know if I should buy a cheapo bike for school know 'cause bikes are being stolen on campus every day.

See these side shots to see the components. The original derailleur was changed and I *believe* the handlebar was changed to, but I'm not sure about that. (This is my first bike in a LONG time, so I'm relearning everything).
