Thanks!

1972 was the start of my senior year in high school & I remember that catalog well. My buddies wanted Mustangs or Camaros, but I wanted a Raleigh Pro. Love the groovy clothes & hairstyles!

I love that the all of the models are in "regular" clothes (except for the racing guys) and there is nothing else implied in the pictures (extreme fitness, extreme adventure, etc.) other than riding a bike. Granted, in very "high" style but still just riding for fun.

Thanks. I had narrowed my Sprite 27 with the thimble crown fork to 71-72. Now, I know it must be a 1971. Coming soon?

I used to have that catalog. (SIGH)

Edit: Note the amount of seatpost showing in these photos and contrast with contemporary bicycles.

How is it that the track bike is only one pound less than the professional?

You need yourself a set of Seafarer bell bottoms and a faux shearling vest.

Oh yeah, that is way nicer than how it worked in Safari.

BTW, I noticed that they misspelled Stronglight as "Stronglite" on the technical specs page.
