Nice. I recently had a very helpful forum member facilitate this for me, a '93 Nuovo Classico. The Ultegra looks a little out of place but it shifts perfectly so it will stay for now. The stem/bars have to go, I am sure something will come up on CL one of these days.

The blue is incredible in person, it is a Waterford re-paint and seems to have a base layer of a white pearl that comes through in the sunlight. I will put a little white paint into the pantographs on the fork and seat stays once I find a good match.

Beautiful Nuovo Classico!

TSX?

I have a Nuovo Classico frameset coming in the spring from Germany.

It has to be a team repaint, but is badged EL-OS.

It has the buttresses on the BB like a Primato.

As for Ultegra, it'll probably run quite well until you get the itch for an upgrade.

I haven't bothered changing the DA off of my Professional either.

Here's my old trek with 700x35c Panaracer Pasela tires :)

thirdgenbird 12-08-11 07:31 PM

woah, that turned out great!!!!

i was debating those tires for my bianchi and after seeing this i really want them

solbrothers 12-08-11 07:37 PM

They are good tires. These seem to run a bit big. I got mine from nashbar for like $12 or 14 each.

edit: just bought a set of 700x28c for my mustache motomess

do you have calipers or something you can measure the cross section and height with? i didnt think 35s would cause an issue but your fork clearance looks tight.

solbrothers 12-08-11 07:54 PM

Yeah the clearance is pretty tight. Actually come to think of it, they fit just like my cross tires lol

Thanks! Yes, it is TSX, it is a very light bike. I got a good deal on a set of Chris King hubs laced to Open Pros awhile back and they will go on this bike to make it even lighter.

Here's my built-up FrankenSchwinn (haven't been able to figure out the model, and the year is either '85 or '75) with a freehub, Origin8 seat, and Soma track handlebars.

Basically stock, except for new Kenda tires. Definitely Weinmann centerpulls, but I can't
vouch for the model number. Rims are the original 27's. I'm using a Campy Rally rear
changer- put the old Gran Turismo into a box in the garage.....where it belongs.

My only excuse for posting another picture of the Sabatini is because I put on some "new" wheels that have Mavic Record Du Monde De L'heure gold rims and a new 13-21 Regina Oro freewheel. The tubs are Vittoria Competition Rallys and I will assume they might be a bit nicer riding than the Yellow Jersey tubulars that are on the original wheels.
