Here's mine.
I built this one up back in 1993 and then got hurt. Between the hurt, work, and family it didn't get ridden much. I expect its only got a few thousand miles on it. The good part of that is that its in pretty much new condition with no signs of any issues at all. I've been running it on my rollers but hopefully will have it back on the road soon.
I think the frame is a 1992 but I'm not sure now. I need to pull the rear wheel off and look. I think the year will be on the inside of one of the dropouts.
Way back in 1973 a guy handed me his De Rosa to try out. I was just a punk kid in Jr. High riding around on an old Bottecchia. I've been wanting a De Rosa ever since, and we don't see anywhere near enough of them around here, so here's mine. I picked this up about a month ago. Only took about 43 years...

I know, they do. Tell you the truth I'm not sure why I have them either. It hit me a few days ago, I ride, I dutifully download all sorts of data to my computer, and I never look at it again. I'm not racing or training, I'm just riding for fun but I still seem to have this need to save data.

Just bought this today. 1972 Schwinn Super Sport, fillet-brazed steel frame. The tires will need to be replaced and some general maintenance done but it's a nice fit. I am more over the stem on the than on other bikes I've ridden.

Looks like some lemony fun, check out PastorBob's "Sporty" in his collection for some good inspiration. Those Schwinn CroMoly frames, thought heavy, are great riding bicycles. Have a blast with it.

You'll get some good ideas from PastorBob's Sporty, he had upgraded its crankset and a few other items too, all well thought out and none are really costly or off the wall. He is a regular here.

I can't recall if I ever posted a picture of this bike or not. It's my mid-to-late 80's Torelli Super Strada.
When I bought it, the blue paint was flaking, the handlebars were bent downwards, and it had mismatched rims.
I painted it gold a couple of years ago to give it a more "classic" look. Lately I've debated with changing the bar tape from red to black.

If it's a "New Classic" then I'd pick a recent bike that I think would be good to pick up and hang on to. If it fits, then keep it, but I feel there are few modern bikes worth keeping if they don't fit. (rare custom builders are not considered).
I think I'll keep my Soma Double Cross for a good while and wouldn't hesitate to pick on up. Good steel, nice geometry, does many things well enough, looks good.
I just redid this Bianchi San Remo for a friend, its steel, good geometry, nice quality even if its more workhorse status. Its a modern bike worth keeping though.

Very nice Trek
I have an 81 710 that I'm in the process of adding fenders and a front rack. Mine's been painted three times so its not the original color nor does it have the original decals. I bought it new in 83 and I've upgraded it to all DA 7400. My question to you is are you sure that is an 81? The decals aren't correct for that era. If its a repaint its a great color.

Hey guys, here is my Fuji Royale single speed that I built up to be a flat ground crushed marbal bike. Feels like a monster truck with those tires on it. Very smooth. The other is a Shogun Katana with an upgraded RD which is a Dura Ace and Rubino pros. Very fun bike. Both bought at garage sales and built with parts bin stuff.
Also, excuse the lack of bar tape on one side, I was in the middle of switching it out!

It is by far the most enjoyable bike to ride that I have owned. Although I do not have a lot of time these days to ride a large quantity of miles, I have been on this bike every day and riding at a much higher frequency. A couple miles in the morning before work just to wake up has become a way of life, also save on parking. I look forward to it every day. It's great.

Just picked up my MKM Cycles Dominator this morning. It's a hand-built British-made frame from 1974 in 531 Reynolds, outfitted with a mix of early Suntour derailleurs, 3T (Italian) stem and bars, Ideale saddle, A newer 700cc Avaya wheelset, Champion Super 68 brakes. Great yellow with green accents paint job.
