I wouldnt get at all excited over pedigree or that sort of stuff, though. Get it running right and ride it like you stole it.

Agree totally. This'd be a good bike for messin' around with new/odd setups, too.

Nobody asked how it rides. Does it pull left or right?

Could just be camera distortion but I'm going to bet that if one were to take another bike of the same make/model/vintage and place them side-by-side the rake would be visibly different.

Even so, what is the big deal anyhow. People throw away tires and put on $20-30/each tires without thinking. What's the big deal with putting on a new $15 fork? Might as well order a $4 headset to go with it and be done with it. Both parts are most probably superior than the junk Schwinn parts the bike came with. Spending $20 to fix the fork up if it needs it is not a hardship.

It rides beautifully, and does not pull left or right. I noticed today that my current bike is pulling drastically to the right, though. It's more than seen its expected lifetime use, though, and is a POS that should die soon.
