Is leggera an accurate guess?

If so what would the frame might be worth?

What calipers are those? I can read "America" on them. I'd go over there with some money, look it over, and make a deal. Part it out. That's just me though.

I reckon it could be a Nuovo Racing model. Check his site out:

The rear dropout eyelets, painted fork crown and frame and Nuovo record components are what I'm looking at.

What's it worth? To a Bianchi fan - my guess - $200 (the asking price) as there are some parts missing and it is a bit knocked about as well as the 'wrong' colour.

Parting it out - could be worth a little more.

What would I do? I would think about a re-paint in celeste and a re-build according to the brochure shown in the 'bulgier' catalogue. I don't think it would harm this particular bike or its 'patina' value.

Ya that's what I suspected, I ended up nabbing it for 125 with hope that I would be able to clean it up sell the parts and either repaint the frame or find a buyer.

I know I've said this before, but I prefer Bianchi's in non-celeste colors. The celeste is just too typical.

Post pics of the aquisition. Do it. Lol.

"Super Leggera" was a model of complete bike using a top of the line Reparto frame, the same frame used for the "Super Corsa", and sold bare as a Specialissima.

That bike is not a Reparto frame, it's a Nuovo Racing or Nuvo Alloro model as mentioned above.

The Reparto frames from this period came in "just too typical Celeste", or black.
