Would this make a good bicycle tool bag?
Saw this for about $24.00 - If its real leather it might be a good bicycle tool bag - At 9.5" it might be a little to long...
Possible? http://www.motorcycleleathergearusa....uds-or-fringes |
I've often thought some of these smaller motorcycle bags would be great on our bikes...eBay is full of them too.
Give it a try and let us know!! :) |
I don't see why not. It appears that the strap spacing is about right for a Brooks. The real question is: plain, studded or fringed?

I think it would work. I didn't get a photo of how it attaches, but with a little work I'm sure it's possible. No studs for me, please.

Go with the fringes!! They are wildly underrated in these forums. :p

I saw one of these at a Harley shop not long ago and thought they looked like they might do the job. I was sort of turned off by the fringes on the one I looked at, so it's good to know they're available without. The one I was looking at, the leather was pretty thick and stiff.

I recently scoured the web for possible panniers that were reasonably priced and strongly consistent with classical styling and either (a) all leather or (b) all canvas. I must have looked at every commercial bag currently available for bicycles, motorcycles, and horsies.
But I was looking for brown, tan, or rust colors. If you're looking for black, there's some awesome-looking motorcycle stuff out there. It might be kind of heavy, but the pricing is definitely better than the bike stuff. |
