Here's my post.

So I may go to a 39◊34 as the lowest gear.
When RT gifted me this frame he said he's had all the years Ironman just like me and said I needed the Pre-Ironman.
I had all the parts for this build except 10 dollar chain, 13 dollar stem, 50 dollars for tires.
On to pictures.

Kinda cloudy need more Sun.

42 tooth biopace. It's a 1◊7 , the FD is just to help keep chain on when shifting.

30 tooth Cassette on wheels that can only take 7 cogs. I think the RD will shift up to a 39 tooth and possibly a 10 speed. But I'd need newer wheels.

Happy Thanksgiving IM nation.
After today go out and ride your trusty IM steed and remind yourself why the Centurion Ironman is the most underrated bike on BF.

It's like you read my mind. That's exactly what I was planning for Black Friday!

I'm a little overweight, but it doesn't bother me - a waist is a terrible thing to mind.

Alternatively - A Mind Is A Terrible Thing.

What's the tire width of your Comp TA ? Can an IM fit in that size ? I found my 87 IM master is abut the limit at 700c/28.
Is it a 650B conversion ?

Ryan

How to kill 0 birds with $31

Well Iíve been patiently searching for a set of 6207 shifters that match my B style bosses. For $31 I thought I found one and I was excited to be getting a solution for the boss cover and shifter I needed. Bamboozled! I see where I went wrong.

with this 6207 M5 braze on set in-hand though? What should I do? Can probably resell on eBay and get my $31 back and go back to the drawing board. Or I could keep it and hack up the boss covers to work and alter some threads (time and money and possible ruin).

really just looking for a right side shifting solution for a 1x7 build. Alternative ideas?

How does the chain fall off on shifting on this 1x7? I have read that in other cases. I run a 1x6 on an old super sport with no problems, and millions of 5 speeds, along with current low end 6 and 7 speeds are fine too. What am I missing?
