I've hit a few squirrels over the years but never fallen. Lucky for me I went over them with the tire & they didn't hit the spokes.

We had a guy hit a bear near here earlier this summer:

i think i'm gonna sharpen my spokes, especially my aero spokes on my nicer rims with a sharpening stone. This way if a squirrel ends up in my wheel it'll be chop suey instead of busted up fork or messed up wheel.

i bet it will make my wheels more aerodynamic as well which equals me going faster.

it's definitely a Win - Win situation!...

The mental picture on that one is brilliant!

depends what your mental picture is :). as a mental picture in cartoon format it is quite hilarious and entertaining. In a more realistic image it could be pretty gruesome, texas chainsaw massacre stuff.

Either way it's pretty cool....

Peacocks? Man I use to ride throughout that area back in the late 70's and early 80's never saw one Peacock, of course I was always on a road. There were some Peacocks in Montecito Calif, but a few people in the area raised them there.

On the ride is enough but I see Eastern Diamondbacks in the yard all the time. Had a 6 footer cornered by our little cat that thinks he is a Florida Panther. My wife called me to come outside and get the cat. What a wake up for me. Cat jumped 4 feet and flipped when I grabbed at him. Snake just slithered off to its den. The cat thinks they are trophies to bring us and leaves them on the stoop. Deer, rabbits, skunks, armadilloes and racoons are everyday out in the country here.

Yikes, but I don't get the sign, shouldn't it say, "hikers and bikers run like hell from the side of the road"?
