What year is my bike??

I have gotten a vintage 26" bike and was wondering if anyone could tell me the year? Any help would be great thanks

Interesting chain ring, does it say "RAYNA"? I've never heard of that brand, but the people at the Rat Rod Bikes forum can probably identify it.

Though I am not all that knowledgeable about that style of bike, quoting component numbers can sometimes offer pretty accurate clues to a bicycle's vintage.

So, take a look at the link I included and then look closely at the parts on the bicycle. Jot the name of the component and its numbers down and let us know what they are. Not just the serial number, but any numbers you find on the components.

what kind of info do you need? I got it from a guy in his early 70's who said it was his fathers

Yes it says RAYNA I looked all over the net and I can't find anything thats helpful and thanks I'll try that forum
