Also, quite interestingly, I found an advert for a Flandria roadbike for sale online, with exactly the same headbadge and stickers as my cyclocrosser has. The roadbike is advertised as stemming from 1961, 'a bike from the Flandria stable'. The seller indicates that this 'special Flandria logo was only meant for bikes from the workshop/fabric itself'. What to make of this?

Thanks for posting this interesting Flandria.

The plate style bridge suggests a rock bottom model.

The Huret shift levers it wears did not launch until the second half of the 1970's so if bike from 1961 this component at least is not original. Wonder if it could be one of the Portuguese produced contract machines.

Did seller have any additional images?

I don't know much more about the advertised bike. Only that it carries the same headbadge and lettering as my newly acquired Flandria cyclocross does. I'm still guessing my frame dates from around 1974, with later additions of some 1983 parts. I understand Flandria went out of bussiness around 1975?

Thanks so much for the response.

As late as 1979 Flandria still sponsored a pro team, with big names too, like Joaquim Agostinho, Marc Demeyer and Freddy Maertens: Flandria - Ca-va-seul - Sunair. I think the shop closed around 1981.

Thanks for the update.

Good to see she is all completed.

Someone sure gouged up those dropouts in their eyelet removal effort.

She has seen the battlefield, yes. I'm still trying to figure out how many cyclocrossers were actually built by Flandria. Not much on the interwebs...

You got me. What's in Ciney?

And why a non-Belgian bike?

In case you care about it, it would be a fairly simple matter to roll out that head tube ding with a mandrel next time you have occasion to service the head fittings. Too bad you are not in Oregon you could take it for Gugieficazione

Beautiful job. Is she all tweaked now or are there some final adjust-a-mentes to be performed?

And if so, I did it twice with pre-war (belgian) bikes and only 3 tall gears,
Last edition was more confortable but still (BCD151 = 45 teeth)
Italian bike so I need to avoid displaying a picture in this subject.

If you look for me, I plan to be dressed in pink and blue
