I've deleted a couple of posts here that seemed to have stepped on the border between what is accepted and what is not here.
To the member who posted the originating offending comment, please THINK before you press reply ~ or as requested, simply explain what you meant by your comment rather than leaving for the membership to figure out for themselves.
Thank you

Regarding swapping 27" wheels -there are a few reasons why you can have a problem: (1) The rim section on a mod E is narrower than a Chromalux (2) there is manufacturing variance from one bike frame to the next (esp with old Raleighs
) and (3) Weinmann 610s were marginal to begin with.

There once was a time when you'd only need to hear a couple twangs off that high strung strat to know who it was but that rich texas tone is no longer unique. The soul still is though.
Good story OP, and I agree you are lucky, very.

Wow dsprehe89 - You really had some crappy luck this past summer! -Maybe I should take out a life insurance policy on you? (JK)
I have a suspicion (or superstition) that by sharing your bad luck tale here, you will ward it off -( or at least dilute it by spreading it around to all your fellow C&V'ers!

I can imagine the groundhog posting his version online:
"...So I jumped out in the road and stared the old fart down. You should have seen him trying to ride backward up the hill, it was hilarious! I jumped out of the way at the last minute and watched him pass. He left a brown streak half a mile long, I laughed so hard I thought I would blow grass out my nose..."
