Sears Free Spirit 1266
Just purchased bike at estate sale for $10 and it needs tires and tubes. Just want something to ride around town getting mail, etc., not getting serious about cross country or anything.
Although the bike seems to have been stored inside for many years, the sidewalls of the tires are so rotted that I can't read any info on them. This is all the info off bike. Was hoping someone could tell me something about it, specially the tire size.
Sears Free Spirit model 1266
Made in Poland
3-speed in rear hub
LM 40386
C630-27290-1-2
80.484404 - stamped into tube on front of frame
Thanks for any help

Any pictures? Most Free Spirits were very low end bikes but some weren't bad.

might be 26X1 3/8British or 27", take the front wheel off and take it to a bike shop and ask. Could be 622 or 635 too.

Here are a couple of pictures. Sears actually called me about my inquiry as to parts and said that the tire size is 26 x 13/8 and they did stock parts. They referred me to www.searspartsdirect.com but they didn't even list the Free Spirit and when I when I went on chat they could not reference the model # 1266. Guess I will have to do it third party.

Hi;
It has a Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub - lots of stuff for it on Amazon.
Wal-marts often stock Bell Road Bike Tire with KEVLAR in the 26 x 1 3/8 size, and tubes that will work.
