Meckx Molteni 54cm Mint!

Current Bay Area CL ad:

No hype needed: purchased in 1992 from O'Neil's bike shop in Worschester, MA. I can't believe that in July of 2012, this frameset, in this pristine condition, will be 20 years old! The near-mint components, over 25 years old! Original owner, ridden perhaps a dozen times, preserved in hardshell case for past 16 years. Note only flaw: 3/4" scrape on lower downtube decal (covered with black electrical tape). Hardshell case not included. Extras: NOS Campagnolo steel toeclips in original box, Super Record downtube shifters (new in bag), mint 52T chainring, two (2) NOS Campagnolo Victory Crono tubular rims (previously used only to stretch out new tubular tires!) Ready to ride or hang on wall as the ultimate in moveable art!

Price: $1950.00. Local pick-up only.
It would take too long to explain, but I am saddened
by this ad on a number of levels.

we can alway hope that it wasn't ridden because the owner was busy with his other bikes

but its also always good to see a bike like that in good condition, atleast in terms of perserving history
