1977 nishiki landau. Any thoughts on how it would ride?

I have one that I am looking at to replace my Motobecane Gran Touring as a relaxed fast road bike. Its a Shields Nishiki by Kawamura. Double Butted Chomo. Its a frame only, so I will build it with more or less period shimano or suntour, but possibly late eightys stuff. Not sure.

I am not that concerned with what it weighs, so much as if it might be a nice rider. I love my Moto, but the seat stay cap is coming loose, and its getting fractionaly worse. It needs to be replaced as my fast but relaxed road bike.
Any thoughts?

right now there are no bids. 75 dollars shipping. Its in canada. I doubt that I will win it, but I might actually try hard. I really like having a bike that is very different from anyone elses. I figure that I like my Fuji s10s a lot, so this should be a bit better than that.

yesterday I made my regular ride with a low gear of 46X28, a milestone for me as a couple years ago I could not make it without at least a 30x32, so I think I deserve another build.

Looks like what would be a Competition in the U.S. Tange two tubing, sport geometry. I think it would be great for what you are looking for. One thing to lookout for, the older Nishikis used a 21.1 stem. This isn't a huge issue, but you probable don't have one in your part stash.

Thanks for the heads up on stem size. I actualy do have several 21.1s but they are more mountain bike oriented.
