Cannondale Cable Guide
Did a quick search and it seems like the old Cannondale cable guides are no longer in production. Any suggestions as to what can used besides a zip tie? Are there any metal clips that will fit this top tube?

I think folks are SOL on those as Cannondale has stopped producing them. There are several threads on this. I think someone was kicking the idea around for seeing if they could be produced but I do not think the idea has progress from much more than the idea.

If these ever get back in stock I'm going to buy a lifetime supply. Hmmm, maybe everyone else already did and that's why they are no longer available.

I like to buy some spares too, I'm sure in the future I'm going to break one or two on my SR500.....

What diameter is the top tube?

You might try getting a brake cable guide, painting it to match (either with Testor's or nail polish) and then JB Welding it in place.
|
Best alternative is a Jagwire hydraulic brake cable mount- it uses a zip tie and has a double sided tape adhesive mount on the bottom. AND they come three to a package.
Aesthetically...not overly objectionable. |
When Cannondale made bikes, they used local New England contractors for making small parts. There is a decent chance that you may be able to find a huge quantity of those things in the back of some shop. I scored several tubes and a complete catalog of CAAD tube drawings from a contractor that got burned. I am not sure if bankruptcy records might be a place to start.

Fits Cannondale top tubes ? Brad |
True, especially if you can find one long enough to cover both top tube holes.
This one: http://www.cycle-frames.com/bicycle-...-TOP-TUBE.html would work if it was longer (note that they have been out of stock on this for a while) |
