Bob Jackson Super Legend is on the road

Its been a long time coming and gathering parts but its on the road now. Its not a super flashy bike but its a rider.

Bod Jackson Super Legend frame 57x57
Campagnolo Super Record headset
Campagnolo Record group
Campagnolo Record 9 speed ergos converted to 8 speed
Phil bottom bracket
Cinneli bars and stem
Brooks Swift Ti seat
Mavic open pros with Campagnolo Daytona hubs
Campagnolo Cobalto Calipers

I am still waiting on parts, mainly Campy skewers and new crank bolts with washers. I also plan on changing out the tires and maybe the bar tape color once I get some more miles on it. The seatpost is also gonna be swapped at some point also.

That's a very well thought out build, I really like it! I'm looking forward to my own Bob Jackson build coming up real soon, with all these threads lately I'm very inspired.

AZORCH 10-11-11 06:37 PM

Very, VERY nice! A Bob Jackson just joined my stable not long ago and I really like the way it rides... a lot. I'm anxious to hear your thoughts about the ride quality. I really love those chromed curly lugs on yours!

tugrul 10-11-11 06:52 PM

Beautiful

What's the theory behind the curvy chain stays?

Creme Brulee 10-11-11 07:11 PM

never mind, googled it. whereabouts did you get those things?

southpawboston 10-11-11 07:31 PM

Beautiful build! The orange, black and chrome just pop out at you, and the build list is well thought out.

lostarchitect 10-11-11 08:26 PM

That frame is so, so, so awesome.

Running track pedals for any particular reason?

Pars 10-11-11 08:39 PM

Forks are bent

Very very nice!

Grapham 10-11-11 09:02 PM

That is a stunner, always loved the curly stays!

illwafer 10-11-11 09:22 PM

awesome.

imo, it would be even better with an orange/black cross handlebar wrap.

ColonelJLloyd 10-11-11 10:38 PM

Very nice indeed. Lots of Bob Jacksons where I live. I only live 30 miles away from the Bob Jackson shop in Leeds

mazdaspeed 10-11-11 11:22 PM

Yep that's awesome

mainstreetexile 10-11-11 11:23 PM

So cool! Curly stays are awesome.

auchencrow 10-11-11 11:27 PM

I thought this bike was TO DIE FOR until you said that it needed new crank bolts with washers... Who would want it now? :innocent:

realestvin7 10-11-11 11:30 PM

I have some brand new Campy crank bolts.

Maddox 10-12-11 01:32 AM

Speechless. It's beautiful. Looks fast, too.

Ex Pres 10-12-11 07:13 AM

Curly stays and Record components - but it's not flashy, it's a rider. :) Then you better be riding it.

Italuminium 10-12-11 07:34 AM

It's Vibrant stays, not curly :) awesome bike. Really, are those record arms the most beautiful ever produced? I certainly think so.
