Anyone know "Nicol & Co" 1895 Chicago made bike?

This from a newbie miss-posted in another thread:

I need some major help nicol & co 1895 - chicago
First i don't know where to put this: I have never done forums before this is my first attempt. Robert nicol made patent 551,597 for bikes and sold bikes in chicago from 1895-1898. Where was his factory. How and where can i find an address in chicago in the late 1800's early 1900's for nicol & co. I am also looking for vintage or old advertising from nicol & co on bikes or anything - thank you so much.

Eminaz, If Nicol & Co was in business for only 3 years during the bike boom of the 1890's, I doubt you'll find much, but hope springs eternal.

M Nicol & Co. was registered in Chicago from 1896-1898. You can search the patent on Google and view the original submital which is most likely the 1895 date and any drawings. From the patent you may find a name of clue to follow.

I searched 1907 patent submitted by Peter Forg and found grandson in still making bicycle parts in Mass., amazing!

Chancers are slim you will find much info on your bicycle, but you never know. In the mean time....how 'bout some pictures?

Wheelmen might have more information on this period of bicycle
