Very nice, I guess that makes us twin brothers now. I too have a all original NOS condition 84 Club. Though mine has the Suntour ARX derailleurs, can't tell in the photo but your's looks to be the Cyclone?
See this if you haven't already: https://classicfuji.com/1984_10_ClubFuji_Page.htm It gives the specs for the 84. The only "error?" I've found with the specs is the total weight is at 23 pounds, for some reason mine which is a 58 size weighs at 20.8, I weighed it three times, twice at home with just the bike then with me holding the bike, then a bike shop in town weighed it and we both came out the same within an 1/8th of a pound. Weigh yours sometime and let me know what your scale says. It's the lightest steel bike in my collection.
Also does your bike have two sets of water bottle bosses or just one set on the down tube and none on the seat tube like mine?
If your's have the Cyclone you may have gotten a end of the 84 model production because in 85 Fuji does switch to Cyclone which quite frankly is better then the ARX that's on mine.

Here's one photo of my 1972 Finest, which was a rusty frame I picked up cheap on Ebay and put together with parts on hand.

I'm working on putting it in a slightly more original configuration; Suntour VX / NSL derailleurs and power shifters already in place, and better wheels. I've also tracked down the correct rear hub; the front one still eludes me. I'll post some better photos soon.

rekmeyata, great news on the weight! there's only one set of bottle bosses. the rd is suntour vx-s, and the fd is arx. i haven't checked the date of either. if you overhauled your bike already, can you tell me the bottom bracket make? mine had been relpaced with a cartridge type i might want to replace in a year or two.

...See this if you haven't already: https://classicfuji.com/1984_10_ClubFuji_Page.htm...

mine is missing the two ribbons of unknown color (one above and below the 'fuji' decal) on the seat tube as shown in this catalog photo. what are your suggestions for duplication? i think green would look good.
the bike also had shimano 600 calipers, different from the catalog. i replaced the dia compe levers with shimano 600 to match.
looking at the catalog, the club was new in '84, but was upgraded (like you said) in '85 with cyclone components. but if you'll notice, the 'league' model was introduced in '85 also, which seems rather similar to the '84 club. so it appears they added a model above this '84 model the next year and changed the name of this bike to 'league.' i'd kinda like to know more about all that.
the '84 team model was the first to have aero levers. the '85 club bike has aero also, but the 'league' in that year still has the non-aeros -- weird.

It must be 84 Team Fuji Week. The ribbons are very thin stripes of blue, white, black, green, and yellow. I finished mine a few weeks ago but have not taken any good pictures. Here are some I just snapped out of laziness. I'll get some better pictures next time I take it out for a ride.
In case anyone is interested, the ARX shifters work great, even if the rear looks ugly due to the steel parts. Regardless of what is written on Disraeli Gears, I measured the ARX against my Cyclone MKII and could not find a difference in any of the parts other than material of the two arms/parallelogram plates.

The photo on my monitor, which is not real good for detail, gave your derailleur a black look in the center of the rear derailleur which gave it a Cyclone look. Odd though because the rear derailleur should be ARX not VXs, VXs is from the late 70's! and it's a lower level derailleur then the ARX but probably more reliable just a tad slower shifting. If you want to keep the bike in it's original condition I would source the ARX derailleur, their not expensive around $40 to $45 for nos, if you want to upgrade it go with Cyclone those can be found to for around $75 NOS. I think the original owner probably had a problem with the ARX, which wasn't uncommon for those, and had the VXs put on.
I have not overhauled it at all, it only had 5 miles on when I got last year, I put about 100 miles on last summer just to get it fitted and to test it. The bike was so unused the derailleur wasn't even broken in, once it loosened up it started to shift pretty good, not up to the Suntour Superbe standards that I have on another bike, but not bad for friction. Right now that bike is stored, kind of keeping the miles on it low, but I do need to relube the hub bearings, the crank lube seems fine. I haven't therefore looked at the BB but it should be a Fuji cup and cone, or maybe a sealed cartridge unit, square tapered 118mm spindle BB probably made by Suntour since Fuji had a great relationship with Suntour. Mine Fuji uses the cup and cone BB your's should too.
You can tell if your BB is a cup and cone if on the none driveside of the crank it uses a lockring instead of splined interface used by cartridge bearings. The bearings in the cup and cone design are actually quite reliable and cheap to maintain, so instead of throwing out the cartridge and putting in new one you simply degrease the bearings with WD40 then regrease and reinstall. If the bearings are bad by some slim chance you can get replacement bearings just about anywhere but you may have a problem finding a replacement cartridge for that model of BB.
The frame by the way says VaLite Quad butted, was actually made by Ishwata which was one of the best tube manufactures in Japan. That particular tubeset was highly overlooked because it was stamped Fuji, had it been stamped Ishwata people would be jumping to get those.

Just picked up this Sagres for $60. Seems pretty nice, looks like its been sitting in a barn for 20 years or so. Needs a rear brake line and maybe a front tire, it looks a little cracked. How good are these? I am assuming lower/mid level?

rekmeyata!
i read your post and was also curious why my '84 club had the 'fuji' branded suntour vx-s rear derailleur instead of the arx. this led me to a scathing entry for the arx at disraeli gears. the vx-s has a higher capacity (30t), is well thought of on the disraeli site, and most importantly, works perfectly with my new sunrace 6-speed. it might not be as pretty as my old late '70s cyclone gt (previously on my '76 moto before replaced with campy record), but it seems to work better (in my very limited experience) and the cable anchor is one of the most well designed and reliable i've seen. so, for now, i'll be keeping it. thanks again for the info...

1985 Fuji Regis
This is a few shots of my recently modified 1985 Fuji Regis. I have owned it since new and have logged a decent amount of mileage on it. It was mostly original. Recently, I have upgraded some components like the bar tape, brakes, lights, bell and a seven speed freewheel. It has been a rock solid ride. Next on the upgrade list is going to have to be a saddle.

Picked this guy up earlier in the week from the original owners, from what I could tell it had seen some miles but more recently had been sitting for a good 10-20 years. Started stripping it down today and I'm thinking that it might be a little more work than I had bargained for... It's in fairly good shape, but not as good as I had hoped it would be under all the dust and grime. Thankfully there looks to be minimal rust, but the paint has certainly seen better days. The picture does it a lot more justice than in real life, that's for sure!
Not sure if I plan on keeping it after I get it running again.

Love it. Original saddle, reflectors and most importantly dork-disc.

^ brilliant. i love their sense of style in the catalog, with the seat tube bands, gum hoods and tires and blue tape -- so classy.

It's a shame about Del Rey - LemondHeads
I guess this belongs here too. Any idea the year? I like the pantographed Fuji crank arms.
