Cool paint job but its not original to the bike. Rivets in the head badge are wrong but putting the old bucked holed brass ones in is not easy.

Judging from the Fork crown its no newer then mid 80's. Its a Sport model. Judging from the Geometry but if the 400 Diacomp brake are original its mid line or better.

If I had to guess I think you have Club Fuji, 85 or 86. Looks pretty close does have the correct brakes. Looks like you have Cyclone cranks and and Front derailleur that would be correct as well.

First thing I would do is date the parts. Since its been repainted chances are some are not original to the bike.
https://vintage-trek.com/component_dates.htm
Date the frame.
https://www.classicfuji.com/0_Serial_Number_TableAA.htm
The parts that seem to be close to the same date are likely original but sometimes parts will sit for a year before being installed so its not a end all be all and a part 10 months older then the frame may be original.
Once you got and idea of whats original start looking at the catalogs till you can match most of the parts to a model with the same Geometry.

Rode a Fuji Sports 12 in college in the early 80's. It was utterly dependable. Sold it (mistake) when I finished college. Have since rebuilt a '74 S-10-S Special Road Racer that ended up being too small by about an inch. Gave it to my brother in law and rebuild another S-10-S (12 speed) that was made in '77. It rides like a DREAM! Not the lightest thing in the world but comfortable.

Have to agree with all your opinions Grim, good call. However, the rivets on the head badge seem to be correct.

A not so common Fuji Cruiser - Before -After

I just completed my 1983 Fuji Cruiser this weekend. They only offered this for one year and in a 19" frame. I've had it for a few years and slowly picked away at it. The decals were a big a hold up and I eventually went DIY on the seat-tube and chain-guard decals to match what was left of the original ones elsewhere. I also went DIY on the chain-guard itself. Took 2 years to find the correct tires and cranks.

I have done a body off restoration of a 59 Airstream and drilled out and installed several thousand pop rivets, thats run of the mill Aluminum 1/8 inch blind pop rivet that has had the mandrel knocked out so it would clear the steer tube.
Both my Fuji's have brass rivets that are bucked from inside the head tube.
Like this 84 Team https://www.renaissancebicycles.com/i...i-headtube.JPG

Those are installed by sticking a bucking bar down the head tube and then the rivet is drove in from the outside and it mushrooms against the Bucking bar.
This would be close to the right rivet. https://www.amazon.com/32-Dia-Long-Br...542745&sr=1-16

Bloud, a full on beautiful restoration. I love it when people think outside of the Fuji box and appreciate all of their models rather than just the road bikes.

Just bought 1982 Royale II on EBay. SNKC200734, very lightly used. At 6'8" the 27" seat tube is just right. Have added Sugino Super Mighty "Victory" crank, Suntour bar-con shifter set, Geyes honey leather seat and matching bar tape, drilled levers. Its a nice ride!

Great cruiser bloud! I saw one of these on the local craigslist a few years ago, and I really regret not picking it up.

Thanks, I've only seen one all these years. If I remember correctly, this may have come out of Florida. Could be the same one.

Nice BigBlue, I think that's the largest Fuji I've ever seen!

Bloud, nice Cruiser. Oddly enough, one of these showed up at work last month; I complimented the guy on his bike.
I don't think it had the original crank, though.

The one I saw had different paint, I think it was charcoal or dark blue, and I don't think the fork was chromed. It may have been from a different year...

Thanks, it's nice to have a bike that's actually my size. My other ride is a 73 Raleigh Super Course, but its only 25-1/2"!
Greetings to Cape Ann, I've lived in Magnolia and Manchester, so I know where you are!
I also crawled all over your Fuji site..great photographs, spectacular bikes....I wish they made them in my size.
Re my Royale, there is no "Royale" script on the down tube and no panel with "Fuji" on the seat tube...no evidence of repaint? why would these elements be missing on an un-molested bike?

Ah! Yes, probably the "other" one that has been found in recent years; seen here They only came in black or white and only in 1983.

Digging that Cruiser...please find the following pic of my Touring IV out for a Columbia MO pub crawl (urban touring). That night included spotting a Terranaut in the wild (rumor was they were made by Fuji) and being invited to join a game of bicycle polo ("thanks, no").

Bottom Bracket help! I am a new owner of an 82 Fuji Royale, see attached photo. I am upgrading from the stock Super Maxy crankset to the Super Mighty "Victory" as found on the 82 "Newest". I have found a Sugino Super Mighty "Victory" crankset (drilled chainwheels), and have a lead on an "english" 68x113 BB or an "italian" 70x115 "Mighty" BB. Q: is the Fuji Royale BB English/ISO (1.37" ((34.8mm)) x 24 tpi or Italian (36mmx24tpi). The stock crank and BB was a Sugino "Super Maxy 2AC" which has an axle with "male" threaded ends (extending from the ends of the axle to accept a nut). The Super Mighty has a "female" axle (to accept threaded bolts through the cranks). Further, the Royale BB measures 70mm from face to face of the BB. Thank you in advance for advice on this topic.

Go with the english threaded BB, the spindle or axle really doesn't matter if it's female or male threaded. Whether you can get away with a spindle designed for a 68mm BB, the non drive side cup is adjustable so you might have to experiment. I've got a whole bag of spindles and could search for something longer if needed.

1977 S-10S 12-Speed

This is a recent addition for me, a 1977 S-10S that I've assembled for use as a commuter. It still needs its rack, and it may get bar-end shifters some day. Right now, it's stock, except for the Shimano pedals and the Cane Creek replica hoods. The tires are 1 1/8 Pasellas. The saddle is the black Fujita Belt with the green synthetic inner liner. As others have said, this bike rides very, very smoothly (the axle to axle distance is 106cm). It shifts nicely and even the centerpull brakes work acceptably. I really like it. PG
