Does anyone know what the proper seat post diameter is for an 80s Mt Fuji?

i repurposed my '72 Fuji Finest to use as a "pool bike". I'm taking it to Washington DC with me this weekend (along with my son) so do some sightseeing.

i also like to cross chain my bikes.

What's that front rack? Also curious how big those tires are.

It's the Origin 8 cargo rack. Thing is a beast! And I'm running Panaracer Pasela 700x35s. Really tight squeeze.

Bikes: Wow, where to start? A collection of 1980's and early 90's road, touring, and MTBs from the likes of Trek, Schwinn, Cannondale, Fuji, Miyata, Univega, Panasonic, and GT. It has gotten rather out of control.

I just found one as well! I've been looking for a long while. This beauty is completely original except for the pedals. Even the foam handlebar grips and brake hoods are intact!!!!! This is my personal grail bike. My 1984 Fuji Touring Series IV:

Correct. It took some time to seal the deal, but it was worth the effort for sure.

Did need more work, four broken spokes on the NDS (WTF?) on the rear, and generally unloved. Rear wheel might be a replacement; has a Shimano freewheel. But I got it for a song, and had a close-match 27" front wheel in the basement. Even came with the Blackburn rack.
So, first "real" ride on the Del Rey, 27-ish miles on the only rural trail that's paved.

Occurred to me, this was my first substantive ride on any drop-bar bike since before my surgery in 2015. And it was awesome! Haven't felt this good on a bike in years; I swear I'm getting MORE flexible as I approach 60. This is easily my biggest-framed bike, but with the relatively short top-tube for its size, it's a good fit.

Still has the Shimano freewheel, but the SunTour Accushift hit on all the click stops dead-on. No complaints about the Blaze/Edge brakes. Nothing's gonna make this bike flashy, but it gets right down the road.

That's my wife's Giant Innova behind it; hybrid bike based on the "Squadron" road bike sold in Europe. She kept right up. In the background, you see just a bit of a pristine '91-ish Trek 850, ridden by a woman with a braided pony tail down to h... er... down past her waist. A lot of people here just ride what they have, with no idea that they have a C&V bike with a following.

Got home JUST before a line of thunderstorms came through.

1983 Fuji America

I decided to swap in a narrow range 7-speed freewheel. So far, so good.

I camped with my family at Sleeping Bear Dunes as a kid, gotta be 50 years ago now. The dunes were a blast; no bike path back then.

Those ads must be from Traverse City.

Amazing area of Michigan, The ad is from a circa 1977 bicycling book that was at the B&B we were staying at. We used to go up there in the 1990s to early 2000s.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone can help me figure out what year this bike is? I assume it’s a Del Rey from the late 90s but from what I read those were TIG welded? Also the logo doesn’t look right for those years.

:
The style of the Fuji graphics let me know it was late eighties/early nineties. I searched in that year range and found a photo of a 1991 that matched it.

P.S. Yes, I love catalog correct, down to the reflectors and dork disc.
This is sooooo beautiful! It's the bike equivalent of resurrecting Marilyn Monroe or James Dean. I just purchased my second Fuji (I regretfully abandoned my first one at college), and while nowhere close to the beauty of this gem, she is the 64 cm 2019 touring model, complete with CroMoly frame.
