Which one would be a better cruiser for around town riding? The olive green AMF Voyager is a beauty, but I don't know much about AMF bicycles. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, the red Schwinn Racer is quite a "looker".

1) Schwinn Racer 3 spd (Red) with Front Light
2) AMF Voyager (Olive) 1 spd with Generator front and back light
3) Schwinn Suburban 5 spd
4) Schwinn Typhoon black
5) Schwinn World Tourist maroon 10 speed

My other bike is a 86 Centurion Elite RS road bike.

I'd avoid anything with an AMF label on it. The Typhoon would be cool if it is vintage - if new, I'd pass.

Of the one's listed, I'd pick either the Racer or the Suburban...... probably the Suburban because of the drive train.

I'd probably go with the suburban. I would have chosen the World Tourist, but if you already have a road bike, you probably want something more relaxed for about town.

+1
The 5 speed Suburban is like a cross between a Continental, and a Raleigh Sports. A good cruiser (but no lightweight!)

If they're anything like the AMF Harley motorcycles run away as fast as you can and don't look back.

If you want a bomb-proof bike for all terrains, go with the Typhoon. Got any pictures?

Looks like it is may be too late to chime in, but what the heck. I would go with the Racer. Three speed SA drive train, hand brakes and style. The only one on the list I would avoid is the AMF, having had a few quickly pass through my hands and knowing the quality is nowhere near Schwinn standards.

It's not too late, I will only go see the bikes on Saturday most likely. Thanks everyone that replied so far, I will have to decide between the Schwinn Racer and the Suburban most likely. I will post some pictures as soon as possible.
