What model Basso is this?

I bought a Basso off of Craigslist. The seller said it was his uncle's who road and raced it in the late 80's. It was given to him when his uncle died young from a heart attack. He thinks it was purchased in 1984. It is nearly all Campy except the stem and handlebars are Cinneli. It is original except for the rims which 23 mm sew up that he plans on selling separately, the seat which he jettisoned calling it a plastic hatchet, and the pedals which I have taken off and will switch. Any info on this bike would be appreciated. I may have over paid, $400, not sure. Most of my bikes have been more about transport than sport. I road this and really liked how road and how it fit.

I did an internet search as well as one on this site but did not see one like it, nor any 1984's.

I think it is a Loto but I am not sure. I always like that color. the components are Campi Athena, badly oxidized and missing a correct Cone shaped cap nut on the rear with shimano brake levers. I am not sure the exact year of the frame but Athena AFAIK was introduced in the states in '89

Looks like an Athena gruppo on there....Nice!
Not familiar with Basso models, but fade paintjob, if it is original makes it seem to be more post-85
With new Basso decals and a good clean up, it should look grand!

I have one with similar paint scheme but mine has more chrome. The model name decal (Fior Di Loto) is on the top tube. Your's is possibly a different model.

You can find Basso catalogues here but don't think your one is in it from recollection

Thanks for the responses.

Bianchigirll, where is the cap nut (missing) you refer? Your bikes are gorgeous.
