Central NJ ride, October 30

If anyone is interested, a few BF'ers plan a ride this Sunday, October 30. Full metric starts at 8:30 sharp in the Princeton area. Estimated distance is 60 miles. Social ride begins in Neshanic Station at 10am, about 30 miles around and through the Sourlands.

So basically, if you're interested in the metric meet in Princeton at 8:30. Interested in only 30 of those 60 meet in Neshanic Station. Ride from Princeton to Neshanic will be spirited, 30 mile loop to and from Neshanic Station will be social pace. Ride back to Princeton might be less than spirited.

Bring your orange bike, rotten eggs, and window soap. Mischief optional.

Hopefully there's no snow on the roads!

The snow is forecast for Saturday, but should melt by Sunday.

Sorry, it was sorta planned last minute. Let's start planning now for a spring ride.

We'll miss the extra company!

I just meant it might take 6 months to find a mutual date for a good number of riders!

marley, I'll ride with you next month, time permitting. You know where I am. Where are you?

I'm good with November, my only limitation is that I can't ride Sunday mornings.

edit: are we thinking that sourlands ride - heard great things about princeton rides and i have never done one - its very close to me though so i'm down - but i think tom is up north a bit (maplewood is not that close) - so where are we thinking

I think a pretty convenient starting spot is Griggstown Causeway. There are a couple parking lots there; accessible by bike from north and south by the D&R canal or the road that runs alongside it, which is nice. I know a nice metric century that goes from there to Lambertville and back through Princeton. But the number of rides you could do from there is pretty much infinite.

Tom and I went for a ride yesterday (I know, I picked the only bad weather day all week) out of Neshanic Station; also a nice place to start from.

I can't generally take the car to get to a ride; so prefer rides closer to home (Lawrenceville).
