Pile of Peugeots...
Though I have some pet projects planned for this winter (Bottecchia Pro, Legnano Gran Premio, Grandis ???), I wanted to do something to reduce the bicycles taking up space in The Old Shed.
Over the past couple of years, Peugeots, both from Canada and France, have been piling up. With that in mind, I decided to make one or two good and complete bikes, from the nine French Peugeots that I have, literally, hanging around.
I plan to build two nice old Peugeots out of the lot. Anyone care to guess which two will be built up?
Here are the candidates, well seven of them anyway (one is just too far back in The Old Shed and the other (badly bent but with an original unbroken tail light) is at my other storage facility. Have a look at what I am starting with...

You got some nice bikes there. What is the white one with the black lugs, photo 6?

I kind of dig the red mixte.

You're building the red and green ones to give to my wife and I for Christmas. So thoughtful of you. I'll PM you with our address.
If more than a few Peugeots is a Pile, what are several Gitanes? A Gaggle? A mess of Merciers, A rafter full of Raleighs?

I am going to build up this nice old Mixte as a Ten Speed...
And this five speed roadster as a five speed roadster...
I want to keep the bicycles as original as I possible can. I do have the chain guard for the roadster, but that bicycle arrived on a flat bed truck, strapped down with six inch wide nylon straps and had the crank shaft bent into the rear fender. I still have to measure the frame to ensure that all is well...

A real Peugeot retirement home, cool. The green mixte, I would have chosen that one too. How did those bikes keep their paint so well?

Good choice. I especially like the white roadster. It has a certain je ne sais quoi. Looking forward to the results!

Boy Randy, you are very fortunate to have aquired all of those beauties! In my area, it would be easier to get into the white house uninvited than to get into oe of our county landfills! I can just imagine what ends up there! :-)

I missed the thread earlier but I was voting for the green Mixte - nice, unusual colour and some cool features. As you are breaking up the others is there a chance to get a fork off you? There used to be a lot around here but no more!

I mentioned it in another thread but I'd rehab all of them.
Of course I'd then sell them since they're all far too small for me.

Do you use any of these as parts bikes so you can fix up the others?
Some of them are very, very stylish. I love those all-rounder bars, the upright ones that are not quite straight. I had them on a commuter bike. Loved them.
