Help with Pre-War Schwinn Serial 594 K
I think I have a Schwinn Henderson (pre-war). It has a Morrow "B" F4 rear hub and a New Departure "W" front hub. I cannot find anything to identify the Serial No. 594 K. The serial is all very clear and in block letter style. It is on the bottom of the crank area. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you very much.

Some detailed close-up photos would be really helpful.

A picture will be helpful in IDing your particular bike. In the mean time take a look though this Schwinn Catalog to try to find your model and year.

There was a fire at the Schwinn plant in 1948 which destroyed all the serial number records up to this point. It becomes challenging to date the bike from the serial number prior to this time.

Thank you very much! It looks like a 1938 BC67.
Thank for the catalogs .The only curved parallel bar that I see is the 1938 BC 67. Are there any serial number listings ?

There is no certainties for dating pre-48 bikes by serial number as of yet.
The hub however... if it is original to the bike it is from the last quarter of 1936. So it could be either a 1936 or early production 1937 model. Which likely looked just like the 1938 model.

Thanks for the info, I love the silver solder construction of the frame. The hubs are dated for 1936 4th quarter. The frame is beautiful . How do I get any info on the color that I should paint this piece. What is the original seat color. I am a street rod person and I am loving this bicycle scene. Thank you very much.
