Anyways, my contribution:
1979 Super. As commonly done in the day, select mixed components / brands, flavor added by DIY drillium. Only future change will be earlier tubular rims to replace the later era GP4.

Wow, the red really pops Sir Name - great light. The stem is perfect. Great bike.
I also agree with you and crank addict re DD's stripped back Colnago - one of my all time favourites. It felt like I was there for every step of the build.
crank addict, you too made great use of the natural light to showcase the wonderful blue of your frame. I would also like to complement you on the leather bar wrap and a fantastic saddle.
toavii, your blue frame with yellow highlights really answers the call for yellow components. I think you 'hit the nail on the head' with your build.
Two Supers of the same colour with different, but successful build finishes. I love them both.

Hi styggno1, I see you are in or from Sweden and have many bicycles. The bicycle you chose to show here, in this thread, has really 'struck a cord' with me. I'm on the other side of the world to you but we seem to have a connection. I too have a Colnago Master with a Campagnolo C-Record groupset. I absolutely love my Colnago and I have spent quite a bit of time admiring your Colnago Master. Your Colnago really encapsulates everything I love in cycling.
Every aspect of your Colnago, it's saddle, groupset, seatpost, stem, bottle cage, wheelset, and particularly the colour have enthralled me and bring back my memories of beautiful rides I have had on my own Colnago Master Piu. Thanks.

Thank you! I need better pics. It’s tough photographing a black bike.

Ooh, I left it completely bare; no clearcoat. I just dust it off every once in awhile and it's still holding up well. It's indoors and the climate control is doing its job

I sent an email to Colnago about my Altain (post #223) that I picked up last year. So far, what little I could find out is the were only made for Europe in 95’. The internet.... “sigh” is wrong.... the second email I sent to Colnago the reply said made from 1997-1999 my bike is stated below from the number stamped on the rear dropout.
Great now I can’t trust the internet... lol

That's so right - haha. A black Colnago is something you don't see every day but a black frame is so hard to photograph. I know your's is a re-paint but I wonder if that's the reason why black was never a factory colour (steel era)?
Personally, I think a black Colnago is quite elegant. A bike to be proud of.

Finally updated with a pantographed Super Record seatpost, brand-new NOS grey cable housings and a second layer of Newbaum's tape. I raised the brake levers about an inch to give my back a break
Now if the rain would just stop I could get her out for a nice test ride...

It's hard to further enhance your beautiful gold Colnago Drillium Dude but you've done it. What a great look with slotted and drilliumed crank and rings and a hi - low flanged rear hub to boot! Beeeautiful.

I've wanted to fine-tune this bike for a long time. The old two-bolt panto post was limiting in that it doesn't really invite one to play around with saddle positions! The modern, one-bolt Super Record post is my fave and finally I found a pantographed one recently to cap off my flagship Colnago.
The Hi-Low hub has been exclusive to this bike since the early 2000s. Except for Cino 2014, it's never worn another pair of wheels since the Hi-Low was built up and designated for this bike. I'm the kind of guy who doesn't swap wheels between bikes

I always wanted the pantographed bits for my Super. They're out there, but man they are expensive when you have to buy them separately! I'm building my Pog now, which should be my last build, and then I might finally start hunting down the panto bits for the Super. I could probably buy another very nice bike for the price of those bits, but looking at yours makes me really want to pull the trigger.

Drillium Dude's drilliumed rings are just the icing on the cake and a real credit to him plus they really 'speak' of that era - love them.
In the past, I have engraved seatposts with a fine hammer and a fine chisel because I couldn't find what I desperately wanted or the price was beyond my means. I did this for my Bianchi and my Rossin - I'm really pleased with the Bianchi's post of which I milled the flutes as well but the Rossin's post does need a little more work to get it to where I would be happy.
(Sorry, hard to see but it started out as a 2 bolt 'Nuovo' Record post.)
I haven't got a photo of the Rossin seatpost but it's the Rossin scripted "R" inside of a pentagon. I need to make it a double pentagon though.
Best wished for your new, and possibly last build, I'm very sure it will be a super special Pog.
