I dont like the way the derailleur clamps on because the bands are so thin, i had to fix one on a friends Prestige(Superbe Pro), but it is nice to have the matching set

Truth be told, I kind of like the aRX FD that's on there now just fine, but this is a vanity thing.

Ah, well, back to this thread. In reference to the Cyclone II FD above, I didn't put it on the bike. The tube clamp was for a bigger diameter than the seat tube is.

However, I jockeyed around my seats a bit. The dark brown B17 I had on my fixie broke a rail, so I got a replacement seat. In the meantime, I sent the damaged B17 to rhm and he repaired it. It not proudly rests on the Black & Tan. It makes the bike a LOT more comfy. The Wrights saddle was a W.3N, which would be good for a racing style bike I guess, but I ride a little more upright, like a touring bike, and the wider B17 feels much better, based on the 40 mile shakedown ride I did this morning.

Yep. A more murderous batch of @#$%holes it is hard to find. Could even give the SS a run for their money. They weren't man enough to drink real Irish beer, so they had to water it down a bit; the mix is associated with them.

They are not recalled fondly, down there on the Irish @#$% list with Oliver Cromwell and the Famine Queen.

Good ridance to them. Like the song says, thank god for the sea. Nice bike, though.

Okay, okay... maybe time for a new theme, a new name. I dumped the bike a couple weeks ago and decided to replace the natural handlebar tape with a darker brown to go with the dark brown Brooks B17... so now maybe I should call it Café Mocha.

Looks good, sorry to here about the dump. I did the natural cork also because of this thread, but then got doored and me+it is ruined. Had some champion corks for plugs too. Natural cork is not meant to be i guess.

It was a minor incident. I was crossing through an intersection, watching traffic, and drifted just a bit to the right... when I looked forward I saw I was about to run up the curb. I tried to avoid it. I did not succeed.

What a lovely old Raleigh! I know this is aesthetics, and to each his own....but I think this bike is begging for some skinwalls. They'd look awesome. Guess it depends on how much tan you want in your black! I like how they match the buff bar tape, so I put them on this old Fuji I recently worked up as a commuter.
