Classic Rocker Neil Peart did his first century ride outside Cleveland
Saw this article in our Sunday newspaper today related to the release of a new Rush concert DVD. Nice story that included an account of his first century ride here back in 1984.

Killer. Hard to believe that I heard about them in 1976 and saw them in 1977.
Incredible then, great experience, and a tighter 3-man band has yet to play for me.
It would be great to have a "Discovery" song written about finding a bicycle instead of a guitar.

I saw them on the Snakes and Ladders tour here in St. Paul back a couple years ago. Got tickets from a friend whos wife works for foxsports.net. In their suite, right at the front of the second level.
I have to say that was simply the best concert I've ever seen...man they are still killer after all these years. Rush is never far from any music playing device I have.

Robbie: saw them in Kitchener, Ontario 1976 with my other favourite local band of the era, Max Webster. Neil's book about his bicycle trip is a worthwhile read.

I grew up hearing RUSH, my first concert was seeing them on the counterparts tour on my birthday. One of the most memorable shows I saw was the 30th anniversary tour it was the last concert that I saw with my father before he passed away.

Max Webster and Rush shared the same management and record company.
We should not forget the fourth member of the Rush band. Howard U.......
was, and still is their Lighting Director and Tour Manager.
Regards,
J T

Im afraid I never saw Rush, but do remember Working Man back in the mid 70's. Probably even have a copy of that first album buried in my storage unit.
But the reason I posted here: Song on the second album, bike related, come on, it can start a C&V flame war - got it yet?
Rivendell
(and yes, I know there are other sources for the name, just thought it was funny here)

Don't know about you, but I could go for a red Bacchetta: https://www.bacchettabikes.com/bikes/...-bikes/giro-26
Neil Peart still goes from concert to concert on two wheels, albeit motorized. "Beyond the Lighted Stage" https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1545103/ has been on TV a couple times recently. His personal story is rather remarkable: https://www.amazon.com/Ghost-Rider-Tr.../dp/1550225480

You people never cease to amaze me with your music references. I unfortunately never saw Rush live, being a generation older, it took my younger brother to open my mind to the musicianship and rich powerful music that a group of only 3 could produce. I was a big Led Zep fan back in the day, but I would put Alex Lifeson’s guitar work up against Jimmy Page’s any day of the week.
