Classic Look LED light
 

I was perusing the Busch and Muller website today and noted they have a new LED version that would look great on classic bikes like Raleigh Sports/Superbes release date appears to be November 2011:D

Looks nice. I wonder what the price will be. I also really like the mountable Kimura flashlight model available through Jitensha Studio, though I'd never spend $200 on a flashlight.

I dunno, I haven't been really sold on the new LED lights out there. kinda faking a classic look with this headlight reminds me of those tacky fake antique phones they sell in house goods retro stores like Pottery Barn that have push buttons set into fake, non turning, rotary dials...... Maybe not nearly as bad as you cannot see the LED taht much, but it has the same "taste" for me, because I'll know.:rolleyes:
I'd rather just have one with one of those super bulbs with the inert gas in it that boosts up the lumens. I have a couple of Maglite flashlights with those bulbs and they shine like 10 times brighter than they did with their regular bulbs. LEDs are just to...uhmmmm...new.:rolleyes:

^Wait until you install a new LED drop-in into your Maglite, it'll be another 10x brighter than the Xenon incand bulbs. :D

But for biking, LEDs really revolutionized bike lighting, less weight, brighter, longer running, more robust. Style just needs to catch up to technology.

Until you use a good LED bike light, you will be a convert. I use a Magic Shine 1400 on my commuter (it also does double duty off road) and it is like a car headlight.

I have had commuters in cars stop me and ask me about my lights front and back.
I run a DeNotte in the back.
I told my wife if I am hit and the driver says they didn't see me to go after 'em cause there is no way they didn't see me.
