"crutchless" dutch saddle
hey
stumbled across this saddle on an old dutch bike parked outside the supermarket.
is there a term for these kind of seats? looks kinda cool and comfy on the crutch but is it stable to ride on? probably not really. anybody using these here?

That is typical Dutch woman's saddle and it meant to allow one to wear a dress or long coat without getting caught up on the horn of the saddle when mounting or dismounting.

In Holland this is called a " dameszadel" or "rokzadel" a "ladies saddle" or " skirtsaddle"

Nothing to add to the said above. Riding one really proves the point that saddles with noses are better, it's a nightmare. I always regretted having to borrow my mom's bike for the school run when I had a flat or something.
